Cookie Policy
How we use cookies for functionality, security and analytics.
This page forms part of the Master Service Agreement. It describes a specific area in more detail. Where it conflicts with the Master Service Agreement, the Agreement prevails.
This Cookie Policy explains how Hostry Compute LLC ("Hostry", "we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on hostry.com and the customer Portal.
It should be read together with the Privacy Policy.
1. What Cookies Are
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. It typically contains a domain name, a lifetime value and a randomly generated identifier. Cookies help a website function correctly, remember preferences, and maintain security.
Cookies do not give us access to your device and do not contain executable code.
Alongside cookies, this policy covers similar technologies that store or read information on your device, including local storage, session storage and pixel tags.
2. Cookie Lifetimes
- Session cookies exist only until you close your browser or leave the site.
- Persistent cookies remain on your device for a defined period specified in the cookie itself, so that your preferences are recognized when you return.
3. Categories of Cookies We Use
3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
Required for the website and Portal to function. They cannot be disabled through our consent tool, since core features will not work without them.
Used for:
- login sessions and authentication for signed-in users;
- security tokens, including protection against cross-site request forgery;
- load balancing and infrastructure stability;
- recording your cookie consent choices;
- shopping cart and order flow state.
3.2 Preference Cookies
Remember choices you make so the interface behaves consistently:
- selected language;
- selected currency;
- interface and layout preferences;
- region and localization settings.
These improve usability but are not required for basic functionality.
3.3 Analytics Cookies
Used to understand how visitors interact with the website in aggregate:
- pages visited and navigation paths;
- general geographic region at country level;
- browser and device type;
- referring source.
Analytics data is aggregated and anonymized where technically possible, is not used to build profiles of individual users, and is not sold or shared for advertising purposes.
3.4 Marketing and Affiliate Cookies
Used to attribute a referral to the correct partner under the Hostry Affiliate Program, and to measure the effectiveness of our own campaigns.
4. Cookies We Set
The table below reflects an audit of the cookies actually set, carried out on 13 August 2026. Cookies set by third parties on their own domains are listed by provider rather than individually where a service sets a large number of them.

5. What We Do Not Use Cookies For
We do not use cookies for cross-site tracking across unrelated websites, third-party advertising networks that profile you across the web, or selling or sharing your browsing behavior with advertisers.
6. Third-Party Cookies
Some third-party services integrated into our website — payment processors, fraud prevention and verification systems, and support tools — may set their own cookies. Hostry does not control these cookies, does not have access to their contents, and is not responsible for their behavior. We recommend reviewing the privacy and cookie policies of any third-party service you interact with.
7. Managing Your Choices
7.1 Consent Tool
Where required by law, non-essential cookies are set only after you give consent. You can change or withdraw your choices at any time through the cookie settings link in the website footer.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
7.2 Browser Settings
You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the website or Portal from working, and that deleting cookies does not affect your contractual obligations under the Master Service Agreement.
8. Legal Basis
Where GDPR, the ePrivacy Directive and similar regulations apply:
- strictly necessary cookies are set on the basis of contractual necessity and legitimate interest, and do not require consent;
- preference, analytics and marketing cookies are set on the basis of your consent.
Under CCPA/CPRA, California residents may opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Hostry does not sell personal information. See the Privacy Policy for the full description of California rights.
9. Do Not Track
Our websites do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, as no common standard for interpreting them has been established. Where required by law, we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of sale and sharing.
10. Updates
We may update this policy to reflect technical, legal or operational changes. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when it was last updated.
11. Contact
